Tomomi Sugo
Graduated from the Faculty of Music at Kyoto City University of Arts. During her studies, she participated in a short-term exchange program in Lyon, France, and from 1994 to 1995, she studied at the Strasbourg Conservatory as a Rotary Foundation International Scholar. In 1998, she joined the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, a public interest incorporated foundation.
From her student years onward, she has performed as a percussionist with various orchestras both in Japan and abroad. As a soloist specializing in contemporary music, she has premiered numerous new works. In 2007, she was featured as a soloist for two consecutive nights in a special concert for supporting members of the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Emmanuel Plasson, performing Emmanuel Séjourné’s vibraphone concerto.
She is also an endorsed artist for TAMA Drums and Koide Cymbals.

京都市立芸術大学音楽学部を卒業。
在学中にはフランス・リヨンへ短期留学を経験し、1994年から1995年にかけては、
国際ロータリー財団奨学生としてストラスブール音楽院に留学しました。
1998年に公益財団法人名古屋フィルハーモニー交響楽団に入団。
在学中より打楽器奏者として国内外のオーケストラに客演し、
現代音楽の分野ではソリストとして数多くの初演を手がけています。
2007年には、エマニュエル・プラッソンの指揮による名古屋フィルハーモニー交響楽団賛助会員スペシャルコンサートにて、2夜にわたりエマニュエル・セジュルネ作曲のヴィブラフォン協奏曲のソリストを務めました。
TAMAドラム、ならびに小出シンバルのアーティストとしても活動中です。
