He wanted a sound without sharp edges, so I custom-made the crash to produce a round sound to suit his taste. The light ride is the 801 series. He loves both. It’s very important for a cymbal maker to actually listen to the sound of his concerts and get a feel for the sound he’s looking for.
I heard about Koide Cymbals from a friend and thought they sounded interesting, but I never had a chance to try them out, and finally got to use them this year. I’ve always liked cymbals that make a “thud” sound, so when I put them in my set and hit them, I immediately liked them without any discomfort. I use the 20″ Light Ride and the 20″ Crush. I hope he continues to make various cymbals.

Originally from Ibaraki, Osaka
When he was in middle school, he heard A.R.B.’s album “Yellow Blood” coming from his older brother’s room and discovered rock music.
From that time on, he became interested in drums and started imitating them.
When he was in high school, he encountered The Beatles, The Who, and James Brown, which was the deciding factor.
In the winter of 1989, he joined Ulfuls.
In 1992, he made his major debut as the drummer for Ulfuls.
In 1995, “Guts da ze!!” became a big hit.
Since then, he has had many hits, including “Banzai~Suki de Yokatta~”, “Kawaii Hito”, “Ee nan”, and “Abaredasu”.
He is embarking on a 42-show nationwide tour with his latest album “9”.

角のない音が求められていたので、クラッシュは好みに合わせて丸い音を出せるようにカスタムメイドしました。ライトライドは801シリーズ。どちらも愛用いただいています。
実際に彼のコンサートの音を聴き、求めている音を感じとること。作り手にとっては非常に大切なことです。
友達に小出シンバルの話を聞いて、面白そうやなと思いながらなかなか試す機会がなく、
今年になってようやく使う事ができました。
もともと「ドシャ－ン」というシンバルが好きなんで、自分のセットに入れて叩いたら、
何の違和感もなくすぐ気に入りました。
20″のLight Rideと20″のCrushを使ってます。 これからもいろんなシンバルを作ってくれたら嬉しいなー。

その頃からドラムに興味を持ち、真似事を始める。
高校生の時に出会ったThe Beatles, The Who, James Brownが決定的に。
1989年の冬、ウルフルズに加入。
1992年ウルフルズのドラマーとしてメジャーデビュー。
1995年「ガッツだぜ！！」が大ブレイク。
その後も「バンザイ～好きでよかった～」「かわいいひと」「ええねん」「暴れだす」などヒット曲多数。
最新アルバム「9」を引っさげて全国ツアー42公演敢行。
