Ken-i-chi Yamakita
When he came to the factory, he was very interested in the wide variety of cymbals, and he spoke passionately about wanting to compose songs using only cymbals.
When I met Koide Cymbals, I learned about the charm of cymbals through the instruments, and also learned the value of craftsmanship. It has become like a compass that helps me choose songs and genres, as well as how to use them depending on the genre. The vibration transmitted from the sticks and the sound of the cymbals resonating with each other deepen my imagination. It is an instrument that I would like to use for a long time.

His activities are diverse and not limited to categories. He has participated in live performances and recordings of various artists, including Yosuke Yamashita, Akira Sakata, Naruyoshi Kikuchi, Tetsuro Kawashima, MINGA, Asa-Festoon, Boredoms, and others. His own works include “Compound” released in 2001 and “Talking Drum” in 2003. In 2005, he released his third album “Abanico”.
As in the past, “Abanico” is made up entirely of percussion instruments, giving the impression of an orchestra with both power and delicacy, resulting in a superb finish. His unique performance style, which skillfully manipulates all percussion instruments, will further expand the possibilities of percussion instruments.
He is currently actively performing human-powered solo live shows that do not use any electronic instruments.

シンバルだけの曲作りも手掛けたい、 と熱く語ってくれました。
小出シンバルに出会い、
シンバルの魅力を楽器から教えてもらい、さらに職人技の尊さを知りました。
ジャンルによっての使い分けはもちろん、曲やジャンルを選択してくれる羅針盤の様な存在になって来ています。
スティックから伝わってくる振動やシンバル同士が響き合う音色は想像力をさらに深いものにしてくれてます。 末永く愛用したい楽器です。

山下洋輔、坂田明、菊池成孔、川嶋哲郎、MINGA、Asa-Festoon、ボアダムス、などなど、
様々なアーティストのライブ、レコーディングに参加している。
自身の作品としては、
2001年リリースした”コンパウンド”、2003年には”トーキング・ドラム”をリリース。
2005年には３rdアルバム”アバニコ”をリリース。
これまでと同様、打楽器のみで構成されている”アバニコ”の印象は
オーケストラの様な迫力と繊細さを持ち合わせた極上の仕上がりになっている。
あらゆる打楽器を巧みに操っていく独自の演奏法は打楽器の可能性をさらに広げることでしょう。
現在は電子楽器を一切使用しない人力ソロライブを精力的に行っている。
