Joel Biedrzycki
Joel Biedrzycki has been a member of the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra since 2014 and has held the principal timpani/percussion position since 2016. He also recently became adjunct professor at the Nagoya University of the Arts. Previously, Joel was a core member with the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra for two and a half years.
Joel grew up in New Hampshire and began playing drums at the age of twelve. He attended the University of New Hampshire for his Bachelor’s Degree and the Lynn Conservatory of Music for a Master’s Degree as well as a Performance Certificate Degree. Joel studied with Nancy Smith, principal percussionist of the Portland Symphony Orchestra and Edward Atkatz, former principal percussionist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
During his studies, Joel attended distinguished summer music festivals such as the Music Academy of the West, the Tanglewood Music Festival and Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan. Additionally, Joel has toured Spain and South Africa as a member of The World Orchestra and was privileged to be a member of the Youtube Symphony Orchestra under Michael Tilson Thomas in Sydney, Australia.
ジョエル・ビードリッツキー
ジョエル・ビードリッツキーは、2014年から名古屋フィルハーモニー交響楽団の団員であり、
2016年からは首席ティンパニ／打楽器奏者を務めています。また、最近、名古屋芸術大学の非常勤講師に就任しました。
それ以前は、兵庫県立芸術文化センター管弦楽団のコアメンバーとして2年半活動していました。
ジョエルはニューハンプシャー州で育ち、12歳でドラムを始めました。
ニューハンプシャー大学で学士号を取得後、リン音楽院で修士号と演奏資格を取得しました。
ジョエルは、ポートランド交響楽団の首席打楽器奏者ナンシー・スミスと、
シカゴ交響楽団の元首席打楽器奏者エドワード・アトカッツに師事しました。
在学中、ジョエルはミュージック・アカデミー・オブ・ザ・ウエスト、タングウッド音楽祭、
札幌で開催されるパシフィック・ミュージック・フェスティバルなど、著名な夏の音楽祭に参加しました。
さらに、ジョエルはワールドオーケストラのメンバーとしてスペインと南アフリカをツアーし、
オーストラリアのシドニーでマイケル・ティルソン・トーマス指揮のYouTube交響楽団のメンバーとなる
栄誉に恵まれました。
