He really liked the logo and is using it in his recordings.
I got a new drum kit so I tried out a few different ones. Then I found that Koide cymbals were good, so I used them in about half of the recordings. The font is cool (laughs). I had been using a 13″ hi-hat, but I tried out a 14″ and liked it, so I changed to that.

In 2000, he started to work energetically at live houses and clubs. At the same time, he also performed street live shows mainly on the streets of Shibuya, Tokyo. His live performances have captivated people of all generations, and sometimes more than 600 people gather in the street. He was already a hot topic before his debut. He made his major debut with the mini album “Akatsuki”, which debuted at 35th place on the Oricon charts, which was unusual for an instrumental album. In 2003, he won the “New Artist of the Year” award at the 17th Japan Gold Disc Awards.
In August 2004, he released the SUMMER’04’s BRAND-NEW ALBUM “Suzumushi”. They performed at their first overseas festival, the 2004 ETP FESTIVAL, and in September of the same year, released the DVD “KIZASHI -Road to the World- vol.1 REALIVE IN KOREA,” which documented their live performance in Korea.

ドラムキットが新しくなったんで色々と試してみたんです。
そしたら、小出のシンバルが良かったので、レコーディングでも半分くらい使いました。
あの字体がカッコ良くて（笑）。
ハイハットは今まで13″のものを使っていたんですけど、試奏した14″が良くて、それに変えました。

2003年、第17回日本ゴールドディスク大賞“ニュー・アーティスト・オブ・ザ・イヤー”受賞。
2004年8月、SUMMER’04’s BRAND-NEW ALBUM『スズ虫』をリリース。 初の海外フェスティバル『2004 ETP FESTIVAL』に出演。同年9月、韓国でのライブ・ドキュメントを収録したDVD『「兆し-KIZASHI-」～Road to the World～vol.1 REALIVE IN KOREA 』をリリース。
